may showers and may flowers

Today it was a cold, drizzly day. The second day of May and it's fifty degrees and rainy. Isn't this April weather? Oh well. A few months without it and this kind of weather doesn't feel so bad. It's nice to feel cozy inside; to wear a sweater and drink (eat?) soup as you watch the raindrops slide down the windows. As much as I would have liked for it to be a full-out thunderstorm, I'll take what I can get.

^Entering this photo in Allie's Happy Monday. The theme this week is flowers. :)

Mondays are calm, delving into the week softly. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays are all helter-skelter but Mondays are just the perfect sort of day for grey skies and being inside.

Mondays are good for listening to quiet, soothing music, writing emails to people who live across the world (hello, Clarissa!), and taking pictures of flowers. Aren't they beautiful? They're kind of dying, but they still have that natural loveliness.

Mondays aren't the best day for lots of words, because my mind is still so sleepy. They're good for power outages, though, unless they come when I'm in the middle of a post. I can still smell the candles, all blown out, from when we were dark and huddling. Blackouts can be fun, but I start to go crazy without my computer for too long. :P

Happy May and happy Monday, readers. How was your day today? :)
