january/early february in film

So I got my first roll of film back! I decided this time just to get the prints and not the CD with them scanned because I can scan them at home. Only I didn't realize that regular scanners are pretty dumb so everything is more grainy and the colors are pretty jank. (Jank is like the best word ever, by the way.) Ah, well. Here are some of my favorites.

Look, it's the moon!

Grass. Unexciting.

That's all for now. I'm still figuring out what I'd like to do with film, like, as opposed to digital. I think I'd like to shoot more people and places with film, more intentional stuff, and keep digital for the stuff I do every day, like still lifes, nature, self-portraits, and silly things. I'm not sure, though. Something to mull over.

      I used a Canon Rebel 2000. It used to be my aunt's. :)

    That pasta dish looks awesome! And is that an HEB in the backround of that last picture!? When we lived in LA and TX we went to those all the time! Now I sound like a hungry freak obsessed with grocery stores. I feel odd now. Great pics! Actually, I like the grainy look the scanner gave the pics, very antique-ish:)

      Haha, yep, HEBs are great! I actually went to pre-school with a kid whose great-great-grandfather (something like that) founded HEB. Random. :P

    the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th photos have me swooning. and yes, jank is the best word ever! i use it all the time. my mom still doesn't know what it means, though. she's a little weirded out by it. :))

    I've never heard the word jank before. I'm busy trying to make 'fetch' catch on {have you seen Mean Girls?}.
    Anyway these photos are so amazing and gorgeous. Film is swell!
