So today they made us go back to school, which I feel was a bit unnecessary. I mean, I was having so much fun, or at least enjoying myself, on winter break. Why'd it have to end???
Anyway. It was really super boring and I almost fell asleep in every class (But I didn't). School is just so blahhh and gray and yawn and yeah, I think you get the point. I'm not saying that it's easy; it's not. I have to work hard but usually I get pretty decent grades. It's just...there are so many other things I would rather do with my time, you know? Like sleep. >.<
The weather seems to mimic my sentiments. The sky is all gray and empty and so are the trees. It's cold and wet (I think it must have rained today, but I didn't see it). I'm tired of winter. If the holidays are over and it's not going to snow, then winter should just be over. Anybody with me on this?
I don't have any new pictures or interesting to share today but I'll post some next time when I'm hopefully out of this funk. Of course warm chocolate chip pumpkin muffins and fuzzy sweaters do help a bit.

blog changes
(I told you I stink at blog titles. But I hate not having them.)
You may notice that I've been fiddling around with the blog today, changing some things like the header and the layout. Yeah, it's what I do when I get bored. Why?
I changed the layout/template/thing-a-majigger so it's white and stretched. I definitely like it better this way: there's more room for photos & (hopefully) it's easier to read. As for the header, I used Carlotta's tutorial for making a collage in Picasa. It's pretty simple but I spend so long deciding! I think I like how it turned out... I purposefully chose wintery colors (blues & greys) and wintery photos in general. So, so, so, I am eager to know (whoa, unintentional rhyme!) what you think. How's it look?

P.S. I used entirely too many parentheses in the above paragraph, didn't I? (Rhetorical question.) (Here I go again...)

...and a happy new year!
Happy New Year, everybody! Welcome to 2011! That's going to take some getting used to.
Here are my new year's resolutions:
1. write more & become a better writer
2. learn more about photography & become a better photographer
3. smile more
4. do more things for myself (like cooking)
5. practice guitar more
6. just be happy! :)
7. continue to blog on this thing
So, yeah. In lieu of this last item (and the second one, too, kind of) here are some pictures from my trip. I actually took 500+ pictures and--get this--49 of them remained. I am a horrendous deleter, to say the least. But um, enjoy! All of them are SOOC because I am too lazy to do any editing right now.
Yes, that cat is my grandparents' kitty. She is so sweet but also still very scared. She hides a lot so I joked we should name her Heidi. ^_^
Hope 2011 is a great year for you! :D Thanks for 11 followers on the first day of '11! Pretty nifty, eh?
